The Kitchen is the hub of the home and probably the place where your visitors gravitate to first making it the perfect place for art prints featuring kitchen theme motifs - fruits, vegetables (from oranges and apples, red peppers and green sprouts) to natural designs (featuring plants, leaves and botanicals). Above the counter, hang beautifully framed kitchen art. Three small, framed vintage prints of fruits or vegetables add simple sophistication, while a pair of fine art prints of food in bold colours creates a touch of Tuscany or the sunny Southwest. Linen-looks make for an interesting display. For a timeless, weathered look vintage posters can recreate that special atmosphere of your favourite bistro. Seal pictures behind glass for protection. Avoid hanging directly over stoves and ovens where the rising heat can carry cooking pollutants (dust and grease) upwards creating a film on the surface. Clean frames and glass regularly. Valuable or heirloom pieces are best not displayed in the kitchen where temperature and humidity varies (likewise in bathrooms). Make use of narrow wall spaces. Accentuate the narrow space between e.g. windows or door frames by displaying two or more matching prints in identical frames.
